    Cirque du Soliel: KÀ

Lenny and I saw this show while were in Vegas this past week. If you haven't seen KÀ, you're definitely missing out. I still think that "O" is, by far, the best show I've ever seen but this rivals it.

I love Cirque du Soleil so I'll have to go see KA; and I agree, "O" was amazing.

Agree with both statements! IMO, it was really different than most Cirque shows - the stage was more part of the show than usual. I went with 4 guys and they loved all the mechanical stuff

              Hmmm

We saw KA about six months ago, and while the visual effects were impressive, the story left something to be desired. I think you had to be on some sort of psychedelics to follow it. Zumanity on the other hand was phenomenal! We have seen it three times. Maybe it was the lesbian nymphs in the glass bowl that made us come back, not sure ....

I had no problem following the story and I wasn't on any type of psychedelics. In any event, I completely disagree about Zumanity. I felt that it wasn't worth the money. To each their own, I suppose.

Zumanity was very homoerotic. I don't have a "problem" with that per se, but I don't want to pay $100 per ticket to watch it either.

The "story" isn't really what the show is about IMHO. Cirque shows are a cross between a circus act and a ballet. It's all about the power of the music and the movement/choreography of the performers.

I enjoyed Zumanity, although it was a little more "interactive" than I would have expected My favorite is still O, by far. Have to say I didn't enjoy Ka, my opinion was that they relied too much on the stage and didn't invest enough time in the story or the human element. Kinda like a one trick pony. Although, the scene with the "Giant Hamster Wheel" guys (I won't ruin it for those who haven't seen)?? VERY cool!

Cirque du Soliel is da shit!!! they were doing a show once in Tysons Corner (Mclean, VA) and they must of had some VIP's in attendance....I saw numrous motorcades (Black unmarked Surbans (USSS), and many US Park Police (motor squad) and USSS Uniformed Division marked units at the event. This was during the Clinton Admin.

I've seen a few so far. I've heard the Vegas ones are the best but so far I think my favorite was La Nuba.
