NO! ...and I'll tell you why....
First, I'm not coming from a lot of experience in this because I've only been here for a little bit, in which time I have somehow managed to end up with a Thai girlfriend. SUPPOSEDLY she has never worked in a bar, and it might be the truth but I'm sure she has come off the pussy for something. Now thats out of the way I'll explain my 'girlfriend experience' that I'm having in this moment....
We met at a friends apartment, got drunk, fucked and have been hanging out since. She speaks really good english, she is VERY pretty, caters to me, and is great in the sack. HOWEVER...there are some things already that I have noticed in this short time I've been hanging out with her. (about a month-month and a half)
The first thing is the difference in little things, like food, manors, what they expect, etc. If your from the us, your used to doing things a certain way (and then forcing those ways upon the rest of the world...lol)..but seriously, you are taught a certain way and so are 'they'. So you are constantly compensating back and forth in daily dealings.
I also think that before you even consider for one second coming here and marrying a girl that you learn the language. If you don't, your always the 'odd man out' when her buddies are around, or when you do simple shit like dropping off laundry. You have to get used to the fact that you are an outsider, and you ALWAYS will be an outsider. The only way out of that is to flip it on them by taking them to the us, but wait... not yet...lol
Another thing is the fucking food. There is something really disturbing about watching a hot girl eat a sack of crickets like they are potato chips. Another thing to keep in mind is Thai girls like to party. They like to get drunk with friends as much as humanly possible and the ones that aren't getting drunk are fucked up on some sort of drug. If your into that sort of thing cool, but if not it can wear on you a little bit....well, except when you get that EXTRA crazy sex at the end of the night.
I'm not going to keep rambling, but before you consider marrying one of these chicks come here and get a girlfriend for a few months. I'm not a betting man, but if I was I would bet that you would choose to enjoy her and the 'girlfriend experience' while you were here, but marriage doesn't make much sense.
