You are paying too much. I have about 800 domains and pay about $.80 less... shop around, you can get better rates.
it's going to be a headache transferring all those domains. I use to pay around $7.90, but I know they added a few cents because ICANN added a small yearly fee and the registrars passed it on to the clients.

Sure, a headache that will save you close to $3000 a year. It really wouldn't take all that long.
Let's say... just for numbers... that it takes you a full day to complete, we will say 10 hours. That's $3000 for 10 hours of work, which will roll over every year.
I can buy a pretty nice TV for $3000, a top quality computer with software, can go on vacation pretty much anywhere in the world... maybe you are totally rolling, but $3000 a year is a lot of money to save when it's this easy.

about one-third of the sites are mainstream, the other two-thirds in adult.
it's really a mix of various types of sites 2-3 page static sites, TGP's, splogs, blogs, auto updating sites, link lists, etc...
a huge range in types and qualities. some i spend alot of time on for quality, while others just sit there to soak in domain age with static pages, while others auto update and rotate content, etc....

If you've had good service from your register then don't switch just to save money! chances are you will regret it.
I pay way more for a few web services than almost anybody else and I aint changing unless they kick me out. Been there done that...fuck that.
I like to keep my services where they work smooth and no problems.
I own 50 domains that I've been planning to develop for 2 years and still only 10 are done. they are good busy sites, but still compare to you, I suck at developing my domains :D

You could spend a couple of hours building one tube site with tubecgi then, with just a few clicks, clone that site into all your other domains yet still have search engine traffic for each since the clone method presents the site as new to the search engine.
i've been building like crazy, and think i over did it.
yes but the real question is are you making any money.
no joke but when you factor in your time to update all those sites and keep them up as well as domain name costs and everything else, is it worth it at the end of the day ?
