So what if someone did this....
Consider the following?
Let?s say I have a good friend that just started FriendsWebCams.com and he is looking to find new models and new clients. We will also assume that YOU are the owner of YourWebCams.com. If I started to open memberships in YOUR site, and then proceeded enter the chat rooms and say things such as ?Model, you should check out FriendsWebCams.com they would pay you more and have better video quality?, or ?Hey guys, you should go to FriendsWebCam.com and see the SAME GIRL, with better video quality, for half the price at that place?, what would you do as the owner of YourWebCams? I guess specifically I want to know the following:
1- Could you directly sue or press charges against FriendsWebCams.com? (I Want to think the answer would be no, how could they be responsible for the actions of other. The exception would be if they could prove they are sponsoring or rewarding such activities, am I correct?)
2- Besides cancelling the account that is spaming/posting about a competitors site what else could be done?
3- Let?s take it a bit further. What would happened if I set up a webpage instructing users of YourWebCams.com to go post the link to FriendsWebCams.com on the chat rooms of YourWebCams.com, could legal action be taken against the web site?
4- Legality aside, if my friend allowed me to advertise for him on unconventional ways without paying me, is there some type of blackballing that might happen?
What are your thoughts?
