I hope you find this useful. I decided to see what difference the background colour, if any, makes to a galleries CTR. All these figures are based on an identical gallery (apart from the colour) using identical content. Total gallery uniques was just under 20000.
The CTR's were:
Yellow - 8.13%
White - 7.61%
Purple - 6.93%
Cyan - 6.61%
Red - 6.61%
Green - 6.29%
Blue - 6.1%
Black - 5.83%
Orange - 5.74%
Assuming 100,000 gallery uniques and a signup ratio of 1:500 at $35 per signup:
Yellow - $560
White - $525
Purple - $455
Cyan - $455
Red - $455
Green - $420
Blue - $420
Black - $385
Orange - $385
In other words, changing the colour of your gallery could increase your earnings by almost 50%! Your thoughts and comments on this are welcome.
