Yeah, that feature really sucked. I'm sure that the paying sponsors are glad that the image resizing is now gone, so now people that have never paid even one fucking dime here, can now run non-top-sponsor sig files that are the same size as a life-sized 747.
And so what if the average crack smoking user can make this site look like total shit with raw images posted at 4416 x 2720 (12.01) - aspect 13:8 (1.63 - photo), or even bigger.

actually i have no idea if you are wrong or not , but i'm "pretty sure" you can't do this with "pure" css. css can't detect the images width as far as i know. You could do pictures as % , but then you would also be resizing small pics ..
