    Well I came out of surgery

    ...this morning. Yeppers...still alive. I go back into surgery at 7:00 AM Wednesday. This will be a more serious procedure and I will probably be in the hospital for a day or two...but not if I can talk my way out.

    Remember...

    If you support our troops in spirit. I suggest that you try to find someone in your community that has a husband or wife in the military and contribute something to help them out at Christmas time this year. A present for the kids...if any...or a few bucks to do with as they choose. Military familes are far from being wealthy and even a few bucks for them would help them out. In other words help support them in a material way...not just in spirit.

    I have more than twenty active duty friends and I for one am contributing cash to each one of them as a Christmas gift.

                                              If Reservists are not serving on Active duty then why would they be in need? They are working at what ever civilian job they have and are at home.

                                                                  Military families are not very well off financially and have to make alot of sacrifices for multiple reasons...but it is more of a gesture to let them and their active duty spouses know that you are appreciative for their sacrifices..but I am not here to convince you of anything. As my post states "if you support our troops".

                                                                                                                              I have engaged in four major operations with three of them being combat operations and I have yet to meet anyone that is pro war including myself. Our government engages troops when it perceives it is in the national interest to do so. Every single President in my life time has engaged troops in combat operations. Actually every single President since FDR has. I suspect that every President in the future will do the same.

                                                                                                                              I chose to be a professional soldier so I performed my sworn duty which does not make me pro war...it did make me a soldier.

I lived in the LA area when PF died. When I left the LA area about a month after his death and moved in with PF's wife to care for her...I had time on my hands so I became a member of GFY. In addition PF was far more than a friend to me. He and his wife took me in after my mother and father were killed when I was 12 years old. You are not very good at getting the facts straight...now are you?
