The Traffic Details on Alexa for TheHun is a bit messed up and the stats for AL4a http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...links.html#top doesn't look like its rising! I havent checked the rest tho...

Alexa sucks... I looked at one major porn site once and alexa showed a huge drop in traffic... but the reality is that the site had actually gone up in traffic.

Al4a dropped most of there trades so traffic went down quality went up.

I concur it sux, but what other site do you suggest to look at a TGP traffic flow over a few years period!

There is none and since you can't rely on Alexa for an accurate picture, there's not much you can do other than track a site using their counter stats over a period of time.

You also can't look at a drop and say something is dieing. It could be a new competitor gained in traffic instead, it could be Alexa changed something, it could be the site itself restructured itself. Too many variables.

as i understand it, alexa traffic ranking is based on "comparative" ranking within the scheme of total websites.

over time there are more total websites, so it is possible that a site's hits could remain the same (or even increase) but their alexa ranking could go down simply because there are a larger number of websites to absorb traffic.

someone can correct me if i'm wrong.
