ICQ or Trillian?

I just tried it again too and your observations are correct....Trillian sucks shit. Great for newbies who don't really miss some of the features of ICQ, but for someone that has been using ICQ for years, Trillian just doesn't cut it. I don't really use the other messengers that it supports so theres no real reason for me to fuck with Trillian again.

icq sucks with their bugs for for sure ask other people on this board im sure a lot of poeple have bugs

i was using icq for about 2.5 years and 3 months ago i switched to trillian cause icq was giving an erro in my kernel32 im not gonna format my hard drives for that fucking bug

and trillian is easy for msn and those other programs aswell all in one

Seems like different people have different experiences. I used ICQ for years, and now I use Trillian. I haven't had a single problem with Trillian. I did have one problem where one friend couldn't send me messages, but that got fixed in the last update. And if you use Messenger, Trillian is definitely worthwhile, because it keeps a log.

You guys know there are settings you can tweak, right? I mean ridiculous amounts of settings. I don't think ICQ has any worthwhile features that Trillian doesn't have.

I like trillian... Since I have accounts and people I talk to on all the programs it works well for me and the history function and search has saved me more then once..

Trillian confuses me... Seriously, I have people adding me, and I have to go through like 400 people or whatever to find them after that if I did not make a mental note of their nick.

Well, I wouldn't say that I swear by Trillian but we do use Trillian Pro 3 and I've never had any problems with it. Why do you say that it blows?

I prefer Trillian, it takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, you never want to go back to icq... It's kinda like trying firefox for the first time...

Neither is perfect but I prefer Trillian coz it groups the taskbar tabs at least. If ICQ could do this I would probably go back.

I don't like Trillian 3.. I loved Trillian 2. It's faster, less bloat, and more stable in my opinion. Since the recent problem where you can't use ICQ at all with Trillian 2.x however, and they haven't updated.. I'm trying Miranda IM out. It's very light-weight, and supports tabs. I'm like it a lot.
