basically the only question i dont really have an answer is would you want your daughter becoming a pornstar?

Well, it's her life to do as she pleases. Since I'm an adult webmaster and event I wern't, I have respect for most models in the industry. If their personality sucks... they're bitches.

Would this be any different than your son telling you he is gay? Or any number of questions that could come up?

If I had to answer that question I would say " no I would not want my daughter to be a pornstar."

Why?

Simple every parent aspires for their child to go onto greatness. Every parent would love for thier child to be a doctor or a lawyer or fireman or a cop or nurse or some great, noble profession. And all parents wish thier kids to have a better life then they do. Guys working construction make pretty good money but most don't want their kids to have to bust their asses and destroy their bodies to make a living. So the simple answer is "do you want your daughter to be a pornstar? No, I would rather she be a doctor, but if she chooses the route of pornstar she is an adult and I will support her and hope that I can help direct her to be smart with her money because her career most likely will only last a 7-9 years while she is still hot and in demand so she needs to make as much as fast as possible.

I listened and thought it was pretty cool interview but it was typical. They had you on the line, you seemed like you were willing to answer any question so they wait until you leave the line to start slamming you and saying that you are doing bad things and that porn is hurting people and how they think people like you and I are exploiting girls and stuff like that but they don't have the balls to ask you these things while you are on the line and can reply.

I have fantasies about getting into arguments with some of these peoples.. firstly, ask them if they've ever engaged in sex or if they are celibate. thats a set up question. they are bound to say yes. then call them hippocrites (sp?) since they say porn is sinful, yet they engage in the same physical activities in the privacy of their own home. whats the difference if you do it in private or if its on tape, the physical activity is still the same (note, this may not apply to some of the more extreme stuff, but still applies to an overwhelming majority of adult).

also drive home the point that porn is only wrong if its forced upon people who do not wish to view it which applies to almost anything, including the beliefs of your opponents, stick to that point. "I respect the fact that you may not be sexually as open as other people, but its wrong to hinder other people's beliefs." and how wrong could it be if most people engage in the same exact activities, except in private.

politics/debating isn't necessarily about what you say, but about how you say it. pay a lot of attention to delivery, like the set up question i had above.

I wouldn't want my daughter to do porn. I know that's a double standard, but life is full of double standard. I respect the models out there

It always depends on whose views you are asking.. And don't expect them to meet halfway.

For this one, avoid talking about porn specifically as much as possible. Anti-porn people are anti-porn everything. Inject a mainstream element to this.

I would put an emphasis on two things here. First being the "how could anyone do THAT job?" aspect, and then the financial issue.

That will addresses every parents hope that their kid does something they can be happy doing, and also make a decent living in the process.

These are the points I would use...

1. Parents want their kids to be happy and also financially stable.

(time to drill home that there are jobs that some people actually like doing that other people wouldn't even think of doing)

2. For the sake of society, thankfully we have a workforce with very diverse interests. The average person will avoid scrubbing toilets, stocking shelves at 3 AM and working 12 hours a day in an office. Yet there are people who have chosen these professions on their own accord. They are doing jobs they feel comfortable doing, but others would avoid those same jobs and can't figure out why anyone would want to do them. Parents should feel comfort in knowing their kid is happy with their chosen profession.

(Now you have to explain that porn can be a real job. Again, insert a mainstream element to this.)

3. A lot of parents would be concerned if their kid became a garbage man, but then they may be surprised what their kid can actually make in that profession. That is very common. People often just assume that because they would NEVER do a job, that it MUST not pay very much either. Adult entertainment is no exception here. A successful star can make just as much, or more -- sometimes far, far more -- than a college graduate.

(Now repeat that it is the goal of parents for their kid to be happy at work and also financially stable, and they can get both of these in porn.)

The trick is to appeal to a person's higher valued criteria. If you asked me that questions I would reply: Which is more important, freedom or purity? I would rather my daughter be a pornstar than to see her in a situation that compromised her freedom. At last check being a pornstar is a legal in the United States and I would not trade that freedom for seeing her imprisoned for doing something illegal.
