Used to be my favorite holiday but now that my family is split up its just to hard putting on a smile and getting into the holiday spirit. I see these families walking around having fun, buying trees, shopping, etc... and it just gets me so depressed. My parents feel bad for me and are trying to help out and fill that void but damn I'm 26 I don't want to spend x-mas with them like I'm 13 again. They want me to spend the night there on x-mas and everything but I would love nothing more than to be able to wake up next to my ex wife and have m daughter wake us up at 5am to open presents. This is the first x-mas in 7 years I'm spending alone, I'm sure I will get over this by next year I hope. Its really a family holiday so I guess it just wont be the same until I find that special girl to share the holidays with not just some dumb slut I met at the bar a month ago. The only thing I'm looking forward to this year is the spiked egg nog.
