You are right here, I thought about that too from that angle - if porn would be completely mainstream not only it would lost a part of its appeal but someone would kill the market..
..imagine literally Microsoft or such a huge company would start doing porn - we would all be fucked, they would most probably buy the biggest companies and created a monopoly to make it impossible to compete with..
