Moore realy makes the UK system look great, its not.

We have an NHS that has problems but on the whole works and will treat everyone free though you might have to wait.
If you have money or health insurance you can jump the queue and get treated sooner going private.

So I think its the best of both systems I think and works pretty good. Having it 100% private system bike in the US is scary and people get left out.
I wouldn't trust my life to an insurance company!
