    Anybody read "Fast Food Nation" ?

    Just finished reading it today, and I think it's a very good book!

          I've read it. Indeed, a good book, filled with lots of interesting facts.

                  No idea... but since I don't buy any fast food, I don't see how usefull it could be to me.

                              Amazing book. THere's a great review from the New York Times if you search google for it (they say i'm not allowed to post a link till i have 30 posts :P) . I really enjoyed the book. It gives a really interesting perspective of the health, culture, and economic trends of the US. And I was grossed out of eating fast food for months after

                                          I buy fast food almost every day. I need to work out twice as hard now coz of my love for fast food. I dunno why I do it tho. I got my own house, I do my own shopping for foods I like

                                                      Yep, I didn't eat any other fast food except In N Out Burger for years after reading that book. (The had high marks for IN N Out Burger). Some of those stories of what goes on behind the scenes just grossed me out!!!!

                                                              Read it when it first came out. Informative. Then went back and reread the The Jungle by Upton Sinclair (had to read it for school and that was a LONG time ago).

                                                              I also had a grandfather who ran a cattle ranch when he sold his buisiness and "retired" and dated a guy whose family owned a meat processing plant.
