Ritalin - Good or Bad
My sisters kid was diagnosed with ADD but she does not want to put her kid on Ritalin. Having just done some research, I don't think I would either (stunts kids growth, some kids become even more ADD on Ritalin). Anyone on it or have a good or bad experience with it?

Stay away from that shit and slap the doctor who told you to use it.
Doctors are so quick to give anyone as many pills as possible.
I had a friend who went on it in high school because the doctor diagnosed him with ADD (which he totally wasnt) and it fucked his brain up royally.
Now he like stutters during his sentences and such. -
i hate when people come up with this shit instead of working with the kid and the parents. 99% of diagnosed "ADD" is the result of parents failures of dealing with their kidsComment

well i have opened a thread about retalin couple of days ago.
i have add for sure (i cant consentrate when i read)
so i dont have a lot of options ..work on a shitty job and get paid like 500$ a month OR take retalin and learn .. get a degree ..
there are a lot of people that iknow about that do take it and have a great inrese in grates an other fact is its not banned in most( or all ) of the countries ..
so i dont think there is a big problem with itComment

sit the kid down with a PS3 or whatever and a game he likes
can he play it for more than an hour?
if so he doent have ADD

ADD is a scam. It's an excuse for kids to be an asshole. When I was growing up, ritalin was called a belt.

Its good for fun, bad for kids. There are ways to deal with ADD rather than doping up the kid.
