CANON is the best.
I am professional, and I work only with canon cameras, but with good camera as Canon eos 1 Ds for example. If you need good camera do not buy cheap model..... You can say that :"adult business is suck"as well as your camera ... But you know this is not true :-)RevshareCash.com

Which lenses are you using? Err 99 is a catch-all so it could be a number of things. Try cleaning the lens contacts with a rubber. I think a faulty shutter may also throw up Err 99.Originally posted by TreasureBucks
Have you considered moving to a P&S with no moving parts (ie no shutter or mirror)? You'll still have the aperture diaphragm and autofocus motor issues eventually, but you might have better luck than with a DSLR.Comment

Hey there, I just got done shooting for the day and for all those who find it unbelievable that I shoot up to 20,000 pics a week, come and spend a week with me!!!! Today I only did 6 outfits with my model but shot 300pics for each set.....thats 1800 pics. On average I shoot 10 outfits a day , 5 days a week at 250 pics an outfit.....u do the math!!!! That alone is 12500 pics not including the random model shoots I set up in the evenings or the Saturday night at the club when I shoot. Long story short, I may not shoot 20,000 pics a week but it's pretty bloody close! Oh, and to those who spend $1700 on a camera that you call "vacation" camera.......you must have way to much money to blow!

Note to self, consider these expensive camera's as disposables.

I got mine at best buy as well. I hate buying stuff there but they do offer an extended warrenty for pretty cheap. I just checked out the new Nikon D200 at Wolf Camera. Only had a display model left they went so fast.
This camera is ultra ultra sweet! Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the market for a new cam.

I got a Rebel XT (not for proffesional needs though...just because I felt like buying a decent camera)... and so far I really love it...
granted, I never took 20k pics / week with it...(I have taken like 10k pics total)... but, no problems...I also have a small nikon point and shoot (5.2 mega pixel)...I gotta admit the nikon is doing a good job for such a small cam...but overall ( I tried the D70, which is pretty much nikon's Rebel XT equivalent) I like canon better.mmm my sig was too big... no more cool animation

I can assure you that Canon does not build a bad camera...lol. They are considered the workhorse of the camera industry and I am sure most photographers would agree on that.
Reality is that the most you could shoot is 1,000 pics a day;)
If not then you are just taking pictures of nothing.
The SLR pro or prosumer only last 150,000 pictures anyway, I am sure Canon just looked at the counter and said well you got your use out of it.
Also remember that nothing lasts forever...lol
So basically a penny a pic. however the 20d body is considerably cheaper today.
Remeber that just because it is digital doesn't mean it has mechanical parts.
Anyway bro...sorry to hear about the bad customer service. I have a canon and just bought a new camera and it was bad right out of the box,(not Canon) oh well so you know we all have to deal with it. Buy an extended warranty next time and then you can even get more bang for your treasurebuck!ICQ 228211529Comment

I am a huge fan of SONY gear.
I have a DSC-S70 that has multiple 100,000 pics on it.
It is over 5 years old and still works flawlessly.
My newest Sony is the DSC-F828 and it has been working flawlessly for over a year.
Neither of these cameras has ever needed service, except for wiping the cum splatter from the lens!
