    Banks in Europe.

    Hey guys. Right now I am looking for a Europian Bank to put money in to get some good interest from it . Now Which banks offer the highest interest % in Europe? Swiss, Luxemburg, Belgium, Danmark? Any information would be appreciated. And if you deal with any particular bank, the name and your expirience with it would be interesting. Thanks!

      I would guest ING would offer the highest interest and lowest mortgage rates in Europe as they do in Canada.

          I would rather prefer a bank that onlY has branches in Europe and not in North America.

              highest interest? possible the ones with the higher inflation. I don't think you'll get any interest from a Swiss or German bank

                                      possible referred as interest you have to pay on loans or something because no european bank that i know will give you even 3% interest rate on deposits.

                                          Perhaps if you only use their local currency, they won't let you move the money outside the country, then it may be possible to get those high interest rates in some eastern european countries....

                                                  No idea. But there's quite a big difference between all the different countries Europe consists of. Can't think of a good European country to bank in either.

New Zealand is doing 7%+ on savings accounts according to this page. http://www.interest.co.nz/# Australia, you can do 5.7% at a major bank http://www.hsbc.com.au/personal/acco...ioussaver.html though they have branches in the US.

                                                                                                                              I know where to Invest fro a high percentage even here in Canada. But there are some good reason why I dont want my money to be anywehere to close to Canada. And yes I dont know where exacly to transfer that money to get the best % rate. Thats why I am doing Research myself before I will see a professional in this field, atleast this way I will know atleast something about what he will be telling me.

                                                                                                                                      Actualy I am interested about the requirements to get an account if your not a Citizen of the country. I am a Canadian Citizen, but my account will be opened with my Russian passport since the money will be transfered from a russian Bank. So would that mean that I would have to open a company of some sort in Russia? I had that mone for a few years now, but it was not able to touch it, and since now I do have the possibility I am trying to understand how everything works

Which is not what Im planing on doing.

                                                                                                                                                                  Actually most eu banks to my knowledge will open an acct for a non citizen as long as you have a passport. fah king I'm in MTL as well but would rather give u any info I have over email not on a board for various reasons.

My assumption is he is taking advantage of these legal loopholes like most of the people in Canada that don;t want to pay exssive taxes ;)
