Well my trip is like this:
JFK > LHR> LAGOS(NIGERIA), im going there for 2 weeks to see parents (VIRGIN ATLANTIC), that ticket was premium economy like $2,000
Then on my way back, instead of going back to JFK, ill do:
LAGOS>LHR>AMSTERDAM>LHR>DUBAI>LHR>JFK
crazy eh.. So instead of just using my return trip back to JFK i made them move the last leg (LONDON>NY) 10 days down so i could go to dubai, then i just point that DUBAI>LHR>DUBAI leg with miles.
And LHR>AMS>LHR was $100.
The dubai leg only cost me taxes ($400 cuz i paid with miles). So its not so bad. Im gonna try to spend less than $2000 in dubai. Thats about $250 a day which i think should be sufficient. Im going to be driving so dont need any cabs.
