Absolutely, but you rarely factor that in for the first trip.
I rent cars usually but they now have a new way to kick my Yankee ass with this Congestion Charge Zone fee on top of parking that usually runs about $100+ a day after currency conversions.
And will someone please tell them to stop charging for gas by the Litre. Haven't they heard that gallons are cheaper! HahaI've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

Anyway, im heading off to Africa, then London, then catch a flight a few hrs later to Amsterdam.. Im stay at sofitel in amsterdam for 2 days.
Then i catch a flight back to london to catch my connecting flight to Dubai, Virgin Atlantic! Upperclass BABY! Booked with miles.lol
Then from Dubai i come back to london, and then head back to NY.
Pornwolf i ended up with Grand Hyatt in Dubai. Its like $500 a night but you can get "Stay certificates for $165 on their website per night", so i ended up spending a little over $1000 for 7 nights at a 5 star hotel. YEAH BABY!_________________

and whoever said London>Dubai is bank account drainer is fucking correct.
Im being conservative as hell yet this trip has cost me so far:
Dubai Hotel : 1200
Car rental: 500
Amsterdam Hotel & ticket = $400
Ticket to Dubai : 400(Taxes) actual ticket paid with miles
So basically so far ive spent like $2,500, and i didnt even start thinking of food and stuff..
Probably will end up costing me $5,000 which was my budget originally but jeez i could go to thailand or something and stay 5 stars for half the price
and the girls r cheaper too.lol

Amazing. Well, congrats man, it sounds like you have arranged the whole trip for the absolute best price possible. Dude, I would have blown the $5k in dubai alone and another $2k in London.
The US to Dubai is like $1,200 to start so you must be making a lot of connections before you get to the dubai flight.
How much was airfare total and where are you traveling from?I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

Well my trip is like this:
JFK > LHR> LAGOS(NIGERIA), im going there for 2 weeks to see parents (VIRGIN ATLANTIC), that ticket was premium economy like $2,000
Then on my way back, instead of going back to JFK, ill do:
LAGOS>LHR>AMSTERDAM>LHR>DUBAI>LHR>JFK
crazy eh.. So instead of just using my return trip back to JFK i made them move the last leg (LONDON>NY) 10 days down so i could go to dubai, then i just point that DUBAI>LHR>DUBAI leg with miles.
And LHR>AMS>LHR was $100.
The dubai leg only cost me taxes ($400 cuz i paid with miles). So its not so bad. Im gonna try to spend less than $2000 in dubai. Thats about $250 a day which i think should be sufficient. Im going to be driving so dont need any cabs._________________
