Yeah... I hear what you're saying.

But I reckon that also depends on your definition of "proof."

There's the bible - which has been proven quite a few times over to be rather accurate in many of it's historical texts and subtexts.

Then there's quite a few non-christian works that corroborate the existence of a man named Jesus who was also referred to as "The Christ' - but then, the validity of each of them have been disputed for many years, as this very argument of whether or not Christ existed has been a subject of debate for about as long as the Bible was constructed...

I reckon if Alexander the Great had as much skepticism surrounding him, you'd have just as much difficulty proving that he existed.

Or Buddha.

There's, certainly, tons more "evidence" that he ever existed than Socrates did... or Pythagoras... but no one questions that either of them walked the earth.

Historical evidence works a bit different than scientific evidence.

Personally, I think he was a man that walked the earth.
