Form teams of 4-6 people, located in difference geographic locations. Award points for taking pictures of an epassporte logo or electron card in a variety of specific locations. Locations should be specific to a region but not a country. i.e:
- Take a picture with an historic European landmark
- Take a picture at an American National Park
- Take a picture in the Canadian wilderness
You could make it a one week thing, or better yet have weekly prizes and a grandprize at the end. Anyway, you can transfer me the $1000 now.

There is merit to the idea of those interested in posting there Epassporte username in a thread and then having a drawing. That may be the winner?? If you do that, the posting should be open for a few days for the obvious.
My idea of selection up front has good and bad points.
What if the first post out is a winner? You don't have to point that out right away.
The secret list has a broader interest for those that haven't been to gfy for awhile. It tends to bring 'em back more often, esp if they have to respond to a win post.
My 2 cents is that those are the the two best ideas so far. Bias you say?? Of course!!
I see the contest as a two fold effort. As a benefit to GFY and a promotion for ePasporte. ePassporte is giving away the $$. So the tilt goes for the best ePassporte exposure. In the end, ya got me. Glad to see you're adding some thought to a contest!!Comment

heres another idea, goes along with the scavenger hunt idea but you could have it soley on your website... to include gfy in the whole idea the "mark" that you'd be looking for on the site would be the letters GFY some sort of graphical logo... place it on random pages on the epassporte site that any member can access... and let the hunt begin the first person to find all ocurrances of the logo on the epassporte site wins the pot of gold...

treasure hunt on your website or a combination of websites, to get people to search through your whole site, and see how features work etc.. could also be a mutli-stage scavenger hunt.. I think that would be fun, even a *real* scavenger hunt, where people have to go out and find crap, and once they have it all take a photo with it and that days newspaper

For example:
