keep in mind that servers are not always paid alot per hour.they rely on the tip to make there living.you go in a place treat all your friends in some ritzy fuckin joint and can't give up a good fuckin tip for high grade service.go to a more casual environment.

The waitress/waiter also knew before taking the job that the pay was low... not our fault...

the restaurant i worked at had waitress making TONS more then me, because they EARNED their tips instead of expect it... on a normal night our waitress' would walk out with enough tips to add to their actual pay, to equal somewhere around $20/hr for the day... and no waitress walked away with any less then $100 worth of tips in 1 night...

You earn your tip, you get it, you expect it, go fuck yourself.

Lawyers are some of the worst about this kinda stuff. I remember the attorney that represented an asshole who rear ended me. We sat in my attorney's conference room to hammer out a settlement agreement when this dumb bimbo paralegal from the other firm said "$15 seems like an awful lot to copy a 12 page crash report" and before my attorney could stop me, I got pissed off at the tediousness of it all and said "It only cost $15 because you called me wanting a copy of it and demanding that I have it FedEx'd down to your office, when you should have called Scott instead. Now, come to think of it, the $15 was just the FexEx charge, you actually owe me $15.30, since I did not charge for making the copies. Anything else you'd like to protest while we sit in here all day and get old and wrinkled up, those of us that are not wrinkled yet?". That stupid bitch left shortly thereafter and never did come back in the conference room.

Bad tippers are the worst ever! I waited tables right out of high school, and it seemed the worst tipping day was the Sunday after church lunch crowd. I suppose they gave too much of their money to the church.

Actually, I recall SEVERAL threads that are related to "tipping" since I joined GFY in 2005. This is definitely not a first. I really wonder if anyone has learned anything since then. People are saying the same erroneus things as they did in the other threads. I bet the same people posted in the previous threads about tipping too, and still have not changed.

Bingo. You're probably one of the very few people who posted in this thread who actually has a clue. I think it is less than $3 dollars an hour for waiters around here. I would like to see how long some of these people would last as a waiter. I bet most wouldn't last more than a day.

In Texas waiters make $2.13 an hour, usually bartenders make a bit more at around $2.40 to $2.50 an hour.
