Just uninstalled all poker software - fuck it

It's not the bad beats that I mind, it's the fact that you never win the hands you're supposed to win. I'm playing the FTOPS tournament series on fulltilt, constantly among the chip leaders until I get ran out on a donkey call every single fucking dicksucking tournament. Day before yesterday I push with KK, get called by TT for 90% of his chips and of course a straight comes on the river. Tonight, in a 1k entry fee tournament with a quarter million top prize, after raise, call, reraise, call call call I flop best possible hand - Ace high straight with AQ and push the rest of my chips in, 7000 in a 2000 pot. I get called with a flush draw for all his chips and of course the flush comes on the turn.

Online poker is a NONSTOP series of hands like this. The donkey call wins every motherfucking goddam pissdrinking fuck you time and I'm sick of it. I'm done.

This shit is rigged to the motherfucking top. All of it.

I don't keep up with online gaming much anymore, but isn't one of the poker big boys under fire for a cheating scandal where certain players could see each other's cards?

Don't just uninstall the software. You'll reinstall it a few days (weeks) later. Activate the "self exclusion" function for 180 days.

But you're right. You just can't win at online poker. Too much luck involved

I put in $50 here $100 here and it adds up.

I swear I told myself not to play for months 300 times now and then around 4 days later I'm back swinging hand over-fist. Dayum.

You need to be Strong to stay away.

I remember back when I played party poker a lot, some night I'd have some friends over and we'd be drinking and log in, and start calling stupid shit and playing really recklessly.

And those were often the most profitable sessions.

I always noticed there seemed to be very few preflop/flop laydowns, and a lot more "action hands", as in AA vs. AK vs. straight draw vs. flush draw, to get everyone calling and betting until the river and generate the highest rake... but that's just speculation

My very first night on party poker within about 20 minutes I was dealt 55, other callers had AA and TT.... flop? 5 5 T.

I won on Party Poker won multi table tournaments, did very well in SNGs but after they dropped American players I moved to Poker Stars and I kept losing so now I banned myself there and don't play online anymore.

You're going to find the same thing in live games. Especially tournaments that aren't deep stack events.
Go play the $40-60 tournaments that they have daily on the strip and downtown Vegas and you'll see people play the exact same way.

Play in a no limit cash game where the buyin is under $1K and they play the same way, and they suck out just as much.

If you get your money in as a 2 to 1 favorite, that means you're going to lose 1/3 of the time ok? So when the guy does hit his flush, that doesn't mean the software was rigged, it means it was that one time out of 3 that he was supposed to hit it.
When you have KK against TT, he's going to beat you one time out of 6 or so. So when he spikes a set or makes a straight it's not because the software is rigged.

Whenever I play online I see dozens of people just like you spewing out this garbage about how the software is out to get them, and it's all rigged so the fish will keep playing, etc etc.

I've had aces cracked more in live games than online. I play at Harrah's in New Orleans and the players in the $200 and $500 no limit game there are worse than the $50 no limit players online.

People aren't any "luckier" online, you just seem to get more pissed off about losing online for some reason, and the fact that you play about 3-4 times more hands per hour online means you see 3-4 times more bad beats online.

There are thousands of people like you on poker forums, who just refuse to believe that these sainted poker site owners could ever do anything wrong or be corrupt in the slightest, even after they got caught red-handed at absolute poker.

a friend of mine has run into a few teams at Bellagio playing the $2-$5 and $5-$10, an asian couple...another team was popped in the $100-$200 Limit game..the only reason was because the biggest money spewing fish in the game complained...the other high limit players knew it was going on and only finally said something so the fish wouldn't quit the game.

Just a warning if you're still playing down there...Doug Dalton's a good guy...but some of the floor haven't been very receptive to complaints.

The $100 $200 player that made this statement was the guy who lost a $5K chip there...ended up when he was transferring to another table and they helped move his chips one dropped on the carpet...and a floor man put his foot on it and picked it up when no one was looking.

Took awhile before they looked at the tapes...that guy lost his job but is working elsewhere on the strip...anyway 4 more staff were popped right about the same time.

ok Lester. You would have called over 3x your stack for your whole tournament life with a 35% out, which you didn't even know was really an out since you didn't even have the nut flush draw.

I'm gonna say this to you once, and for everyone else who posts that they would make that call: You don't know how to play poker. If you post in this thread, it should be to ask questions about how to get better, or what makes a good call or a bad call, or what are pot odds. Don't post in here like you know something about the game. Because you don't.

Mark my words: Unless these poker sites owners get very VERY lucky or they're VERY well connected, there's going to be a HUGE fucking scandal soon. I can't believe that Absolute getting busted didn't make more noise than it has. Their ace in the hole is that a large number of poker players are like snake doctor... dumb and overly trusting.
