I think that if anything, this will be a positive exeperience and a good example of the industry taking responsibility and policing their own. It would be one thing if the guy had just started a smear campaign and threw out accusations, the difference here being he did the RIGHT thing and took it to the proper authorities. How is that a bad thing? There are whistleblowers in other industries too, just like there are crooks.
