they would rather report on a guy in texas breaking a record for sitting in a bathtub with snakes than report on ron paul raising over $4 million dollars in one day.

Aww, you are so sad that your guy ain't getting coverage by the very conservative machine that is suppose to be selecting him and making him their candidate.
Welcome to seeing the writing on the wall, population you.

um....the news is supposed to be UNBAISED and report the TRUTH and things that matter. Snakes in the tub don't matter. Thankfully others covered Paul's achievements.

Again, you miss the point. Paul is trying to get the republican nomination. Fox news is pretty much a direct arm of the republican party. They are ignoring him. What do you think that says about his chance of getting the party's nomination?
Apparently he is no more wanted than the democrats wanted Colbert.
Well Ron Paul is a republican. Ironically the only TRUE republican in the race.
Please educate me, honestly. I have not had time to study up on all the Republican canidates. I know the main ones, but for example what makes the mormon dude not republican? Well aside from the obvious that the whole mormon thing scares the pants of Americans.

If you go the the libertarian party website you will see that what they believe in are TRUE republican values. This neo-republicanism that the Jesus freaks took over in the 1980's is NOT true republicanism.
How much news is on Fox News? Shepard Smith has a news show that lasts 30 minutes, but I think the other 23.5 hours of programming contains commentary with a far right slant.
Everyone bitches about Fox being biased and being an "arm of the Republican party" while all of the other networks are biased the other way and are just like "arms of the Democrat party". Why would Fox want to compete in an already oversaturated market?
Fox News..... is entertainment, they do their job pretty well, they are quoted all over the fucking internet, its free publicity.
They dont need watchers that agree with their editorial line, they just need watchers to make money.
Murdoch is a genius, a visionary, he knows how fucking retarded the masses are. Some people watch Fox because they are stupid, others because Fox is stupid.
first off pundits arent news on either side. People confuse that.
That's true but news "reporters" are also increasingly injecting bias into what are supposed to fact based reports. Sometimes they alter or omit facts altogether that don't agree with their personal bias. Mainstream media in general is in a tailspin because people just don't trust any of them anymore.

I'm no expert, but if you equate Republican with the word Conservative...and then make a list of things that they conserve on, it will be a short list. Rob Paul is old. He really is conservative. He is for a sustainable balanced budget, instead of borrowing $3 billion/day from other countries like we are doing now. He is against nation building on our expensive wars...wars where we go against to constitution and don't "declare war." He is pro constitution and civil liberties. He has a long history of voting this way to back up his consistent views. When someone asks him a question, he gives honest answers that are relavent. And he knows it's a lot of work to get the country back on it's feet, but it needs to happen quickly or it's downhill from here.
Basically, he does nothing like the other Republicans and thinks they have taken "the party down the tubes."

Thanks for a basic answer. Though I do not need to know what or whom Ron Paul is. Yes long ago I was a "conservative republican" and now I am just independant. I know what a republican is supposed to be before the hijacking by the christian right. Ron Paul though is a bit far though in my eyes and that would make him a lame duck at best. I am all for more constitution less government and all, just not all at once. The public would freak and the system is not ready.
So I asked, what makes the Mormon dude not republican? I know the current republicans also seem to hate him yet alas he is also a Mormon so I am curious as to if there is other reasons as well. I could go check some sites but that requires a bit more bullshit sifting. So I am asking some opinions.

He is also for not having a standing army. He would rather call up the boys and girls when needed. Hence, the unquestionable advantage that the US has on a military basis would evaporate very quickly. We have our advantage by being active, by putting dollars towards R&D and always pushing forward.
I always snicker at the mindless when Fox comes up.
Their new channel is ultra republican conservative, but just 20 years ago when they launched their network, they broke almost every rule in broadcasting.
