Ok, I'm running a site (my first) at http://www.adultclips.net/ and I have tried many different layouts and designs (spamming my sponsors and traffic trades all over my pages)and after reading a post by the Hun and a few others I changed it to what it is now. I want to say this Being Honest = Being Broke. Using the design I'm using now I have generated less than half of what money I did when I used blind images and text. Not to mention my traffic has suffered as well...So my question to you "Starting out..is it better to be honest and stay that way or to bend the rules a little and just try to make enough to cover your BW bills?"

Unriz3n I will be honest with you
Firstly, if bandwidth cost is overpowering your revenue then pull in some good freehosting to support you while the slow building process takes place. Maybe get another domain name give it to smutserver and link off your main site, you can also cross link it all with door pages etc and start a good SE campaign.
Your site does not give any feeling to make a guy horny, its like one of those info pages returned at a portal site.
You dont have to make a multi pop up jerk off site to get visitors in the mood just take a look aroung at some of the experienced pages at this board and you will soon find good ideas.
If you icq me I will show you my first ARS promo pages that use all of their niches. My new one which is converting well has changed to include lots more little traps but the old one gives an idea of busy porn. Sorry I won't share the new one.
Someone here recently called page design psychology a bag of crap - well I can tell you first hand its not.

I'm half tempted to take the sites 10k a day and chunk the whole damned thing and try another "type" of site. And btw...i believe that page design is number 1 when it comes to peddling porn. (hence my design change so much)

Out of everything that I've learned so far the ONE thing that is most important is that being honest is the BEST way to go. In the short run it may not seem this way, however, it tends to increase conversions over time, increase TRAFFIC over time, and most importantly increase revenue over time. (not to mention the fact that it also helps you establish a good reputation among other webmasters).
