Because it is true bigotry. It wasn't a joke, it wasn't a friendly little jab, it was a thread to announce that he was a true world homophobe.
I feel obligated to react strongly to that type of blatant bigotry.
EVERYONE on here knows I have no problem with joking around about "teh gay homosexuality", so long as it's all in fun. And I firmly believe for the vast majority of people on here, that's the case.
