I've run a few successful internet businesses and am about to buy a site that's been around for 6 months. As I'm new to the adult game I wanted to check what things I should be on the lookout for to make sure I'm not taken advantage of:
1) This is a TGP site - I've seen screen grabs of income and also have access to webstats. It took him 3 months to put everything in place so really he only has 3 months of traffic. The price he wants is OK for the traffic and the work he has done
2) I'm paying via Escrow so there is 3rd party to protect us
3) The seller seems very sketchy on the legality of the content. The site has a 2257 notice but should I get a lawyer to check this out ?? Or, as this is only thumbnails of other peoples content, is it not such a big issue for me ?
If you were selling this site to me what might you be trying to hide ?? If this was a second-hand car I'd know what to look for ....
