    What should I get my ex for her 21st?

    I'm hanging out with my ex tomorrow night for her 21st birthday. What should I get her? I'm thinking of getting a bottle or two of some nice cabernet and a couple bucks. Any other ideas?

    We were in love and we're still friends, so I want to give her something nice but not make it "weird" by getting her something too personal like jewlery.

                  Really? That is just weird. Frankly I think giving money as a gift, unless the other person needs it, is kind of pointless altogether.

                  I like taking people out to dinner as a gift, its always fun and you know they'll enjoy it. Otherwise the wine sounds good to me, maybe a CD or something.

I like to take the time to find a gift that I think someone will enjoy. In this case, since she is your ex, I think dinner is more than sufficient but if you want her to have something to take home bring a nice bottle wrapped up or a really nice candle in a bag or a card with a music/dvd store gift certificate.

If it's a friend or a bf they can give me whatever they want, but I HATE receiving money from family, it makes me feel like a kid again, and like they think I'm poor and can't take care of myself. I always feel like I have to go out of my way to show my family that I'm doing well for myself. I don't take/accept money as gifts from family members, I always return it. I find it rather insulting.
