Radar and sonar would be usless becuase of terrain features, even in the desert. Ask any radar or sonar tech in the military, a object in contact with the ground or ocean floor is invisible.
Anything based on optics would be defeated as well since it is a optical illusion. If light is passing through or around the tank then what is the laser or optics sensor reporting back.
The only technology that has a chance would be thermal imaging, but to kill a tank you need a missil of some kind and still has to be guided and most tank batalions are going to have some kind of recon to find those threats.
And at the end of the day the only people that can develope the technology to defeat it are same people who created it or have partnerships with. And take a wild guess who that is if England is the developer.
