    if you have Dell, did you get a Windows cd?

    when i got my laptop last week, it didnt come with an winxp cd so i called their lovely India-outsourced workers (that i can barely fuckin understand) and dude said he'd send the cd out.

    so the ups man just came and bought me a package from Dell...open it up..and its a fuckin Reinstallation CD for Windows Media

    whatever happend to them just shipping out the windows cd with the order?

      I dont have a dell, but my sony laptop didnt come with a windows CD either ...

      It does come with about 8 other "recovery" CD's, so that you can fix your windows, but not really change it in any way.

      Just another way MicroSoft and the resellers to fuck you into buying a new windows CD.

      Huzzah.

                  They say to use Microsoft Windows System Restore or Dell PC Restore to return your computer to it's original operating state.

                          You didn't check the box for the CD when you ordered the laptop. It's $10 extra.

                              They don't come with the CD unless you pay extra, it costs more money to give you that version.
