I play on a lot of sport teams and we almost usually get sponsored by local bars or restaurants but the catch is we have to go back every week after we play for some drinks. That's how it usually works. It's really simple to get a sponsor like that because they get a return back. I've never got denied by a bar/restaurant unless they already have like 5 teams that they sponsor. Sometimes they give us all the cash up front, sometimes they pay half at first and the other half midway. Sometimes they even hook us up with uniforms and entry fees to tournaments on top of the original cash, it all depends on how loaded they are!
Sometimes, but not usually, we even get smaller companies to sponsor us with some cash and we put their logo on our jerseys. That usually happens when we know someone that has some pull within their company.Comment
