    [BIZ] PHP coders - IonCube, SourceGuardian or ZendGuard??

    Which have you used and did you find one better than the other etc.?

    IMO ZendGuard isn't an option unless you're a company that pumps out software all the time and so can afford to pay $1000 a year for that one.

    IonCube is the cheapest solution and you can also do that encoding per file thing to get started.

    SourceGuardian isn't that much more expensive than IonCube.

    Anyone know which ones are better or faster etc.? Pros/Cons?

      Iv used Zend before and its great, just about to get it again soon too.

          New version of Zend Guard clears up the the old exploit issue.
          I like it because it integrates into the Zend IDE, and Zend Accelerator etc accept it naturally

                      I haven't had any reason to encrypt yet. Customers pay for source.

                          Anyone else? Did more reading last night and it appears that IonCube is usually slightly ahead of the curve as far as keeping up to date and optimization.... And I was wrong about the price.. If you want to lock the app via IP, hostname etc. then you need to spend at least $299 which is $50 more than SourceGuardian.... Couldn't find any info on performance tests or on which one is more typically available on servers etc.

                              I'd parley Zend is the most optimised.

                                      Zend is your best bet as most servers now days have zend installed so your clients or whoever uses your products can use it without having to install any special stuff

                                          I'm also gonna have to go with Zend, as its the most widely usable across most servers.
