How much for a regular mixed drink at your favorite bar?

All month long during October my favorite bar is running a $2.50 jack and coke special... usually $4.00

Beer is usually around $2-$3 just depending on what you get.

For some reason jager bombs are like $5 for one shot.

What kinda prices do you guys run into?

$2.25-$2.50 for beer, unless corona, heniken etc which are 2.75 or 3 depending on the night.

Mixes usually run ya $3-$4 for single. Depending how big you want. I get a double of captain and coke in a big glass and they range from $4-$7.

Stadard shots are 2.50. Jagers bombs = $5

Thursday nights are nice with $1 pitchers though.

Beer 0.5l 3 - 4 € (= 4.2 - 5.7 $)
Long drinks (that's how we call drinks like Vodka Orange) 0.25l 3 - 6 € (= 4.2 - 8.4 $)
Cocktails 4 - 9 € (= 5.7 $ - 12.9 $)

I thought drinks were much more expensive in the US than in Europe

When I used to drink there were two : cranberry and orange juice with vodka or rocket fuel which is a pina colada made with 151 and amaretto.

5 jack and cokes (my personal fav) but I usually end up paying for only about half of them, and my fav bar tender or the owner pick up my other half...

Last week, I went to Gainesville (college town) to this little lounge and it was $17 for two drinks...one martini and one mixed. I thought it was odd to see groups of coeds buying bottles, but then I looked at the list and it really ended up cheaper to split a bottle than to buy mixed drinks all night

Around $5 for a mixed drink, $4.50 or so for a pint of beer would be average at the pubs outside of the trendy areas. In the clubs it's more, $6.50 or something but it always ends up being a couple fives with tip factored in. Jagerbombs will run you around $10 at the clubs or more trendy pubs unless you know the right people.

Alcohol is such a fucking double dipping outragious rip off that is gobbled down by the masses in bars, then these same people will bitch about gas prices. I mean come on you know how many shots are in a 250 or 500 ml bottle? How much is that bottle retail? Now how much wholesale?
Then what 5.00 or more for a shot? fuck that shit.

Thats akin to paying sushi prices for fish by weight when eating sea food. You would end up with a 300.00 salmon steak

Here it depends which type of bar you go to and at what time of day you are drinking. Day prices are cheaper than evening prices. If you go to a hotel's beverage room or dive bar you'll find the prices are low to average, like $2-$3.50 for domestic beers, $4-$5 for imported beers, $3-$6 for most cocktails and mixed drinks.

But go to what would be considered a more high-end bar or pretty much any lounge and you're going to pay $4 and up for beer, and anywhere from $5 to $10 per drink.
