Ok I know this only because very recently my cousin in law married an Indian chap who was very nice. However for the wedding which apparently is a very big deal for middle easterners, the entire family, many family friends, family business associates and the like all made the trip (yup I know there was a terrorist alert that day) to CA for the wedding. Many came from Dubai and or the Emirates (spelling?).

Ok needless to say bling is not out of style with them, just not gaudy. They also rent very high end cars or umm do a monthly lease from a dealership to use them for a fucking weekend (dont ask). They also apparently have no issues buying a house as a wedding gift, or cash gifts in at least the 5 figure ranges as a minimum.

Ok back on point, yes they claim it is easy to get apartments and such there. Actually even cheap if you do not want to be right in the center of development. However they all frown on that and prosper much and only buy those outskirt areas for more development.

It's all about that $$$
