i used to date this canadian guy and he would constantly call me his "american girlfriend". it got weird after a while, like he was only dating me because i was american. he was also my professor at the time (in canada), so we had this weird role play thing going on, but we weren't role playing at all. i really was his young, american student...and i think he got off on that.
