The Martian Sky is actually more yellow than red.
Martian "Red" comes from the oxidized iron in the topsoil.
And there's no oxygen to really speak of... the atmosphere's 98% CO2.
Your point wasn't missed on me, but I'm thinking this is more how 'Mordor' looks.
