I guess nobody is allowed to abreviate anymore then huh? I'm 99% positive anywhere in the world, if you say you're from America, they won't ask which country.
It's like asking for a Kleenex. Who is going to tell you that don't have any Kleenex, but they'll give you this tissue instead?
