Those who have children probably look at it differently from someone who doesnt.

I am strongly against abortion, I mean a mistake cannot be corrected by another mistake. we should be responsible for the consequences of our actions and not choose the easy way out.

I have kids. 2 of them in fact. And I'm pro-choice as baddog pointed out. I thought I was pro-abortion, but I was mistaken.

So then the only way a woman gets knocked up is unprotected sex? I guess rape and date rape don't count. I guess when your 16 year old daughter gets knocked up, sparing her a life of raising a child when she is just a child is out of the question. I guess it's better to "teach her a lesson" than to abort it and give her a second chance. Ever get a girl pregnant and think about your entire life and realize you will never make it in life with a kid at such a young age? That shit hits home.

Innocense has nothing to do with it. In a moment of desperation, a mouse will eat her young to survive instinctively knowing that the protien will build her strength to have babies later. Is it so different to abort a fetus in order to establish a more solid foundation for a child later in life?

Is it ok to abort one that will be born into poverty if you get your shit together and have one when you are financially set? Is that like making up for it?

Not only is your president opposed to abortion rights, he'll only fund sex education programs that promote abstinence as the only way to prevent std's and unwanted pregnancies. It is a proven fact that 'abstinence only' as a sex ed policy doesn't work. Teenagers are gonna have sex and he's doing nothing to educate and prepare them to practice safe methods. Sad.

That's a fine position... then don't have abortions. But you have no right to make that decision for other people.

And if idealistic idiots didn't run the foster care agencies that wouldn't be the case. I am not pro-life really, don't have much thought on the issue, but I do know the reason so many children don't get adopted is because they make it impossible for decent honest people to do so. All these idiot left-wing nutbags with no kids of their own infest these places and expect too much of people thinking of adopting, and they have ridiculous measures that give foster parents zero power after they adopt.

The death penalty comparison is a weakest argument you could make, that is unless you value the life of a murder the same as a child. Anyone who thinks that is a valid comparison should have their nuts remove to prevent their genes from ever spreading.

I'm 100% against aborations done out of convenience(rape and incest are a different matter), It's not something I could do if I was a women. And if a girl I was with got pregnant and wanted an aboration I'd do every thing I could to talk her out of it and even care for the child on my own after birth if neccary.
People have to learn to take responsibility for their actions.

All that said I also don't beleive there should be any laws to ban it. But laws that allow minors to get abortion without parental concent are just plain wrong.

We need to clean up the adoption process, as mentioned above it's a complete train wreck. The only way we'll ever lower the number of abortions is to give people better options.
