so my car got hit today

I wasnt driving, my GF was at school and some fag backs into her... he then drives a bit to where his GF works, apparantly its her car... my GF got the insurance info and license plate # and phone etc.. but didnt call the cops...

you dont have to call the cops for something that small right? noone was injured.. although he did kinda leave the scene of an accident, he didnt speed off.. he drove like 300 yeards to his GFs work and she followed him

shit thats leaving the scene anyway you look at it... your supposed to pull off to a safe area (shoulder of the road is normally fine) not 300 yards down the road lol

i would have stayed where i was and called the cops on the fucker... small or not if he took off without talking to me first i'd be pretty pissed

I think you are supposed to call the cops to document everything, for insurance purposes, and if there is an injury or like 300 or is it 500 in damage.

No police report makes it very difficult to file a claim with the insurance company. Call the cops.

Three years ago someone slammed into me skidding down an exit ramp on a wet day.

I called police non-emergency they asked about the incident and said it's not worth filing a claim, just exchage information and that is all that's needed. They said that's all the cop would do.

So we exchanged information.

I called my insurance company, they said that I need to call her insurance company. I did, she was no longer insured.

I went to the address, it was a mailbox on a rural road.

Lesson, get a police report.

I got rear-ended on a busy street and refused to move till the cops got there. Cop shows up and ask me why I didn't move off the road. I told him woman that hit me told me straight up she had no insurance, so I wasn't moving until someone showed up to do a report. He let her go with no ticket! Fuckin cops. My insurance sued the shit out of her. Also told me they wouldn't have had much of a case without a police report. Moral of the story: no matter how much you hate the nazi fuckers...call the cops.
