Not really that I have seen BD. But the dry conditions here are worse than normal. and the winds are blowing like hell.

It's not something I'm familiar with but, I have to say that a lots house are stucco, etc. I actually don't remember seeing a lot of rooftops like that!

few years back during the other san diego fires, my care had an inch of ash on it every morning and i couldnt breathe for a week and a half.

I should have put a camera on my car this morning. I thought it started looking bad yesterday afternoon, but today it looks worse than it did after driving it to Chicago and back.

Yes, lots of evacuations (250,000 thus far), 9 active/separate fires, and shooting embers into the VERY windy air. Lots of firefighting aircraft ready to launch, but heavy winds keeping them grounded. See www.signonsandiego.com

I'm 5-6 miles away from nearest evacuation areas, but have my list all ready to grab stuff and head towards the ocean if needed. This is a serious time here.
