Would you rather have a home in an uncommon property?

Given the opportunity, would you make your home in an uncommon property such as a army garage, chapel, barge, factory and barn or do you prefer to live in a convetinal home?

Id love to find about 100 acres in the middle of nowhere with deer and turkeys and other wildlife. AND an old barn or other such thing I could remodel into a kick ass house.

I guess it would depend on the property.

Do you have something specific on mind?

I wonder if anyone has ever converted an aircraft hanger into a home?

Any property that was used for another function besides a residential use is what I have in mind.

In europe, I hear they are selling them for practically nothing. Upkeeping a castle can be very expensive tho.

I always thought it would be cool to buy an older school..not a huge one but medium sized one...LOL

Imagine having your own auditorium with stage, indoor basketball court...huge fucking bathrooms for guests. Massive kitchen.

It could be a real party place.

I saw someone do this years ago I think they interviewed them on Oprah it turned out really sweet.

I was riding the train cross country coming from LA and I remember we went past this community of underground homes.

Some of them you could see because they were in the sides of hills, they looked really cool.

I had a HUGE loft/warehouse apartment for a year. It was so big you could of parked a 747 inside. It was great, but really expensive to heat in the wintertime... very expensive to cool in the middle of summer.

At the time I was dating this 18 year old raver chick who would roller skate around the place all day long in pigtails, 1/2 naked. She would get fucked several times a day doing this. I would run and tackle her onto the bed and beat that pussy to death. Good times.

That would be a cool conversion. Unfortunately in area, promoters convert schools into closet size condo dwellings and sell them as "Lofts" to suburban yuppies

I am after the security. For as long as I feel safe, I wouldn't mind living in "unconventional" places.
