Plenty of reasons why some guys like the fatties. There is no one magical reason behind pretty much any niche or fetish.
For one, some guys probably just like the way the fat jiggles when they pound their noodle into them. Others are likely attracted to the way some fat girls are a bit insecure and thus maybe more likely to be more devoted to the guy. Other guys like to have her on top and be squashed while she rides him. Still others probably love having sex with a fatty in the pool or ocean... for the whole whale/water-displacement factor.
And some guys just flat-out find large women attractive, and an added bonus if she has a pretty face to go with the weight.
As someone who has promoted a lot of fetish over the years I will have to agree with those saying it's not really all that necessary to completely understand a fetish in order to promote it, at least not as an affiliate. I often leave that end of the work up to the program itself, and just put up the banners and links they provide and let them do their job. My job is to get the traffic.
Case in point: I don't claim to understand the whole "balloon fetish" thing... never really thought about it. But I've put up links for it. No skin off my ass if a surfer wants to go get off on balloon sex, nor should it be.
