I want to sue WinFixer (Spyware Company)

Sue them for time lost due to closing their damn popups and trying to get rid of their spyware. Maybe I'll throw in some "emotional distress" as well ...

Who's with me on this?

PS: I'd rather fire bomb their "corporate headquarters" ... but a lawsuit seems more reasonable.

I dunno, this one was sneaky, got around the Microsoft Anti-Spyware real-time protection, as well as survived deep cleaning from adaware, spybot s&d, and manual reg clean via hijack-this.

I guess it must be affective advertising though ... THEIR program probably really is the only one that can remove THEIR spyware. FUCKING BASTARRRDSSSSSS!

i had once a program like that on pc and it really didn't wanted to come off so the next thing i did was reinstalling windows. these companies are pissing me off.

I considered that maybe they are legit, and this is all the dirty work of an affiliate ...

But if the spyware I have on my computer is actually from one of their affiliates ... then that affiliate spent a LOT of time and money customizing it to their program. It attempts to install their software, run "auto-check"s on my computer, etc several times per day. This is some sophisticated shit all circulating solely around their program.

I am with you I hate those bastards. Also now Spyaxe has constant pop ups
stating, "you system is infected with blah blah blah" and takes over my start up
page.

Evidence!

I have gathered some evidence... Below is the exact process that I go through at least 10 - 15 times per day because of winfixer.

The initial popup seems to be triggered by GFY as well as many other sites ... the rest of the screen caps are what follows that first popup.

Yeah IE sucks. I switched over to Firefox running Privoxy and Tor. Seems to be working oretty well and with Privoxy and Tor, you surf anonomously...

I made a thread about them a month or two ago. I have not been able to get rid of it with anything I've tried. It is by far the worst spyware I've ever seen.

My daughter got it bad. Tried everything, including KRL's suggestion, and it did not help.

Literally, Format: C was the only solution.

WinFixer spyware pops up even when im not using i.e. though ..

On that note, does anyone know if there's a way to completely remove i.e. from a windows machine ... ie Windows Explorer still exists but it can't function as a browser or connect to the net?
