Here is a hint for my american friends:
if you are driving an SUV or pickup, and you don't typically tow a trailer or work on a cattle ranch, then you need to get out from under the thing.
The price of gas is directly related to over consumption. The more you and your friends use, the more scarce the commodity and therefore the price increases.
Now I know, it isn't just you, and it isn't just the US. But here in montreal, when I look around, I don't see an SUV as every other car on the road, people don't drive pickup trucks as personal transport much, and generally we all drive smaller, more fuel effecient cars.
If you want to find the source of your problems, look in the mirror, and then look off towards washington.
