One story I heard, about the muffin man, was how he used to have braces. Yet he loved hairy muffins so much, he collected the black curlies that twisted and caught their way into the nooks and crannies of those metal additions to his teeth. As the story goes, every once in a while, say a week, or a month passes by, and the muffin man gently removes (or "happily harvests", as he'd say), those black curlies.
Legend says, all those black curlies the muffin man collected are stored in an old, secret "Thousand Island" lemon-pepper container; long removed from lemon-pepper. The story goes, that the faint remains of lemon-pepper on the curlies add a special touch to the muffins he makes.
