Bad news first: I was informed 4 days ago that my vision impairment is permanent (and constitutes legal blindness). My kidneys are severely damaged, which I've known for months; my doctor estimates I'll be on dialysis in several years.
There's more good news than bad, though!
Things have improved a lot since February. My blood pressure's under control, kidneys better or stable; intracranial hypertension is GONE, and so is the swelling of my optic nerves. In other words, I'm in pretty good shape right now except that I bump into things a lot.
