Interesting stuffAccording to the Nevada commission, Couture's purse for his August win over Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 74 was US$250,000. Liddell made $500,000 at UFC 76 in Anaheim, according to the California State Athletic Commission.
Recent purse figures for other top fighters were $350,000 for Mirko (Cro Cop) Filipovic at UFC 67, $225,000 for Quinton (Rampage) Jackson at UFC 71 when he dethroned Liddell and $210,000 for Tito Ortiz at UFC 73.
That's not muchLiddell's purse was more than 35 times that of Keith (The Dean of Mean) Jardine, who made $14,000 for beating the Iceman.

I just read the articles on UFC, I guess the only thing left he wanted to do is fight Fedor Emelianenko, claiming he was the best heavyweight fighter out right now, but Fedor is signed with a different company. Sucks, that would have been a good fight too.Comment

EVERYONE seems to forget that fighting is barely about the fight. its about PPV/ticket sales and marketing and creating the demand. its a business. its showbusiness. without the show, the intrigue, the drama etc... sales plummet.Comment

I read this earlier today it fucking sucks. A few months ago the UFC was up Randy's ass to come back, than he is the least paid of some of the most recent main events. I wanted to see that fight so bad too.Comment
