                                Like I said: under the term of the agreement, he will be held liable for $75,000 if he breaks the terms.

                                You are right, it is not in writing.

                                I have up to 5 years to press charges. The agreement is just for damages...when (or if) I call the popo -- that's up to me.

                                He deleted my entire mysql database of a website that pulls in probably 10K of gross revenue (between what I make, the programs, and the people that are listed) -- make no mistake about it.

                                It's a big deal.

                                            If you've never done time...most people can't handle a couple months. Fuck most people freak out over a night. Plus, all of the time you wait for your trial. It's life on "time out" -- hell, probabation is no fun either. Been there, done that.

                                            I am giving him an easy out the benifits me.

                                            I did 6 moths consecutive, a month, and a month another time -- that was when I was younger and a lot more wreckless. Now the one thing I try most to do is not repeat those mistakes.

                                                                                                                            I'm sure it's a big deal and I'm sure you could have this guy signing over his paychecks for the next decade if you pursued it in civil court. However, as someone who has worked for the govt in a somewhat related sector, they honestly wouldn't do anything. They don't even pursue child molesters who meet little kids off the Internet. It is sad, but our govt feels it is more important to have our resources on liberating some 3rd world country than protecting their own citizens from crimes.

                                                                                                                                    Yeah, I wasn't expecting much symaphy from the law or the courts. Our lawyer (Jeffery Douglas...thank him for killing 2257) says I did the right thing.
