Both were taken in an old abandoned strip club (formerly a biker bar) - a small town about an hour west of Toronto.
The place had wide-open access...we just wandered in and took a few pics. The first pic is a deep-fryer vat still filled with, well...stuff growing. The 2nd pic we took in a basement room - stored chairs covered in mold and fungus.
The place was remarkably undamaged by vandals...and overall looked as though the owners just abandoned it one day after work. All the glasses still sat on the bar, pool balls on the billiard tables, everything.

Yep, Quantum-X and I are both on an urban exploration website. Last I heard he's headin' up our way very soon so we're hopin' to hook up and check some stuff out together.
Few more shots of the place (no hydro in the joint, but we had plenty of flashlights with us - I lit some of these shots with a 1MCP portasun:
you'd think they would sell as much as they could... i.e. the pop machine / pool tables etc
i wonder what the story is behind that... looks interesting
i love this kind of shit, have any more of the place?
I was thinking the same thing, I'm really curious about why it was abandoned and why no one has wondered in there and stole or vandalized the whole joint.
Very cool pics. Its amazing how well things are kept there... IN my area the place would have been tore apart within a few days of shutting down.
Most places we explore and photography usually ARE wrecked shortly after kids and vandals realize there's access to the place. The strip club was an exception, not sure why though. Perhaps the fact that locals know it was owned by bikers (Hell's Angels)...so that may be intimidatin' enough to avoid the place.

wow. next time you go in there, yank down the club lighting and send it to me
lol...cha', I'll get right on that
We generally go in to places with the credo - 'Take only photos...leave only footprints.'
Would be sweet lighting though, heh.

those are great photos. The one with you in it, is a bit unlike you, but nice anyway.
I was kinda' rushed to get the shots since I was with two other buddies at the time, it was the first time we'd visited the place...and we were unfamiliar with the location and unsure if we'd be interrupted by someone.
Notta. But one of the guys accidentally pulled a halon fire switch in the kitchen and released a big cloud of crap for a minute or so. Mostly old residual in the lines, the halon wasn't activated (we think).
Not the swiftest thing to do...while I'm standin' there shootin' with a $2k dslr camera, lol. But it was an accident...we laughed over it later.
